ADMISSION PROCEDURES AND INFORMATION

Students seeking admission to Arendell Parrott Academy should be of good character and have demonstrated both the motivation and the ability to profit from an accelerated course of study.

We thank you for your interest in the Academy's program and hope you will find the information on our website helpful in deciding whether to pursue admission for your child. Should you wish to seek admission, you should follow the steps outlined to ensure prompt and fair processing of your application:

1.	Call or e-mail the admissions office for more information and an application packet (252-522-0410, ext 202) jrogers@parrottacademy.org
2.	Schedule an appointment with the Headmaster or the Director of Admissions. Your child may accompany you on this initial visit for a tour of the school's facilities or you may wish to bring your child for a separate visit. All children admitted to the Academy must have a personal visit with the Headmaster or the Director of Admissions.
3.	Complete an application and forward with the appropriate deposit. The application may be submitted prior to your visit to the Academy or you may wish to submit the application at a later date.
4.	Submit for review at the time of your visit evidence of past academic performance, including most recent grades and standardized test scores.
5.	Preadmission testing will be scheduled after review of your child's past academic performance and enrollment placement is offered. Students enrolling in TK through second grade may be required to complete a pre-admssion screening given by the APA teachers prior to enrollment.
6.	Upon successful completion of steps one through four, final admission will be offered.
