Rising Fourth Graders Summer Reading Requirement
This summer all rising 4th graders are required to read:
How to Steal a Dog by Barbara O'Connor
The primary goals of our summer reading program are to promote a love of reading for pleasure and to encourage reading continuity as a bridge to the next school year. In order to make summer reading a meaningful experience for our students, the entire grade will read the same book. The students should be prepared to take the AR test on this book when they return to school. Also, a written book report will be completed at home and typed in computer class at the beginning of the school year. We will give them a format for this report on the first day of school.
