Welcome to Arendell Parrott Academy (APA), home of the Patriots! Founded in 1964, Arendell Parrott Academy is recognized state-wide as a distinguished independent, co-educational, nonsectarian, TK-12 college preparatory day school. Known for its educational excellence, Parrott Academy provides a thought-provoking liberal arts education focusing on the four customary pillars: academics, fine arts, athletics, and service. Whether developing critical thinking skills in the classroom, learning life-lessons through athletic competition, portraying a character on center stage, or visiting and experiencing foreign cultures, students at Parrott Academy are supported as they excel in diverse ways while rising to the highest level of personal commitment and achievement.

 

Currently, Parrott Academy attracts students from 10 eastern North Carolina counties to its immaculate 80-acre campus located in Kinston, NC. The Academy also provides an unmatched sense of family through a safe and nurturing learning environment. With an average tenure of over 20 years, our faculty stimulates and challenges young people’s minds while modeling the core values on which the Academy was founded: Honor, Initiative, and Truth. Through a school-wide honor code, the APA community promotes good character, ethical judgment, and social accountability among all students.
