I am originally from Kingsport, TN. I attended the University of Tennessee and East Tennessee State University. Teaching is a second career for me. I was formerly the Water Treatment Manager for the City of Wilson. When my children were young, it was difficult to work the kind of hours that job required, so I went to ECU to complete their teaching lateral-entry program. I have taught math from 6th grade through Algebra II, but 7th grade Pre-Algebra is my favorite subject.
