Theatre Director Amy Albritton Calhoun graduated from Arendell Parrott Academy in 2011 and graduated from East Carolina University with a BFA in Theatre Arts with a concentration in Professional Acting. In her time at East Carolina, Amy completed the two-year intensive training in the Sanford Meisner technique of acting. 

In 2017, Amy returned to Parrott Academy as the Director of Theatre, teaching 5th-12th grade theatre classes, acting as chair of APA’s International Thespian Society Troupe, and directing two mainstage productions with the Patriot Players each year. With over 20 years of dance experience, Amy also co-teaches Creative Movement for grades transition through first grade with dance instructor Amanda Oakley Hort.
